Seattle Christmas and 32 weeks!

Toshi and I spent the last 10 days in Seattle running around seeing family and friends. It was a very busy 10 days but it was wonderful to get to spend time with everyone. Christmas was the busiest day with celebrating at home, with Barker's and then back at home with D'Amours. Although the grandparents were unable to join us for Christmas dinner I was able to spend time with them on New Year's Eve before we left New Year's Day. It was good to spend time with them, especially since my grandmother since I'm not sure how she'll be when we return in June. I can only hope that she will still remember me.

While in Seattle there was also a baby shower! 32 weeks to the day was the day that we celebrated at Betsy's house at a shower hosted by Betsy and Nancy. It was so fun to open all those little clothes and adorable blankets! We still need lots of stuff (babies need lots of stuff!) but we are getting closer!

Yesterday we returned to NY, back to reality (at least for Toshi who had to go to work this morning). I can't believe that we are only 8 weeks away from our little girl's arrival! I feel as though we have been waiting forever (40 weeks is a LONG time!) and now we are getting close. We are going to be parents! This weekend we are planning on doing some rearranging of the house to start getting the baby's room ready (even though she'll be in with us for a while). I can't wait to work on the nursery even though she'll only be in that room for a couple of months before we head back to Seattle.

Six months from now we will be back in Seattle. Toshi will have started his fellowship at UW and we will be all settled and away from NY. I have been looking forward to this for so long and we are getting close!
